Because of COVID-19, we have to take a number of measures in order to make sure that the event is safe and responsible. Together with the local authorities, we have formulated a number of health and safety measures, according to the RIVM guidelines. You can read them by clicking on the button below. 

General questions

The Dutch government has decided to cancel all events until 1 September. Because of this we are forced to move Heroes Dutch Comic Con. 

The world is under the spell of COVID-19 and that has immediate far-reaching consequences for the events industry and in this case specifically on Heroes Dutch Comic Con. We organize events that attract more than 40.000 people are attending per edition to share their passion, make new friendships, meet special guests and buy products that fit these passions. The government does not allow Heroes Dutch Comic Con to be held on the planned date.

We have looked for a date that is as far away from today as possible. Of course we hope that the event can continue on the new dates, but if this is not the case, we will look into the alternatives once again.

Tickets and vouchers

Yes, the tickets are valid on the new dates.

  • Tickets for Saturday 28 March / 4 July are valid on Saturday 21 November
  • Tickets for Sunday 29 March / 5 July are valid on Sunday 22 November
  • Weekend tickets are valid for the entire weekend on 21 & 22 November

The ‘Save your ticket’ initiative, which is supported by the government, is set up to prevent event organizations from collapsing if everyone reclaims their money. This gives organizations and events such as Heroes Dutch Comic Con the opportunity to organize new events in the future. Instead of requesting a refund for your ticket, you get request a voucher that you can use later to purchase a ticket in the near future.

With ‘Save your ticket, enjoy later’, the event industry hopes that ticket buyers will visit their favorite event at a later time. This helps mitigate the economic impact in the event sector, which is caused by the measures concerning the coronavirus. As a result, new events can be planned for the future. Not only organizers, exhibitors and special guests are helped with this, but also all the people behind the scenes who make the events possible, such as set designers, technicians, suppliers and other employees and self-employed people in the sector. If the event is moved within 13 months of the original date, your ticket will remain valid for the moved event. If you are not able to visit the event on the new date, your can opt for a voucher (a digital credit) for the purchased amount (including service and/or reservation costs). The voucher is valid for at least 12 months.

You can use the voucher to buy any tickets for Heroes Dutch Comic Con for at least 12 months after receiving the voucher. You can also use this voucher for another edition of Heroes Dutch Comic Con.

The voucher has the value of your full order. You can use this voucher as ‘credit’ to buy a new ticket in the ticket shop of Heroes Dutch Comic Con in the future. For example, you can convert a Saturday ticket of this year into a voucher, to buy a weekend ticket. Of course you will have to pay the difference in price.

You will be sent a personal code. You can use this code to buy a ticket for Heroes Dutch Comic Con in 2020 or 2021.

What a pity! Please make use of one of the following below:

  1. See if you can sell your ticket to a friend or family member.
  2. Try to sell your ticket on Ticketswap, this is a safe website for buyer and seller.
  3. Donate the cost of your ticket, or a part of it
  4. Ask for a voucher, this way you can enjoy Heroes Dutch Comic Con at a later moment

If you choose for a voucher or a donation, you really support Heroes Dutch Comic Con. If you really want your money back, you can also apply for a refund (per ticket). We are currently working on processing the voucher and refund requests and you will receive a confirmation after the requests have been processed. We and Paylogic ask for your patience, so that things can run as smoothly as possible. You will receive your voucher shortly after the confirmation. 

Please note: People who have requested a refund can expect the refund within 30 days after the new date of Heroes Dutch Comic Con on 21 & 22 November.

You can convert your tickets to a voucher. You can use this voucher to buy a ticket for next year. This way you also support the continued existence of Heroes Dutch Comic Con. Our ticket partner Paylogic is currently busy developing the voucher functionality. They are also working hard to handle this as quickly and as well as possible. It will be working in the beginning of May, and you will receive an email about the process shortly.

You don’t have to do anything. For additional questions about personalization, please contact the Paylogic help desk.

This applies to the entire value of the order. We can not provide a voucher per ticket.

Tickets bought via Ticketswap will also remain valid for next year. 

If you have bought a ticket via Ticketswap you can not get a refund or voucher for Heroes Dutch Comic Con. In that case, you have to contact Ticketswap or the seller.

We are currently dealing with a force majeure situation that has enormous consequences for many companies, and also for Heroes Dutch Comic Con. We welcome everyone who wants to visit our event again and hope that as many people as possible will do so. In the coming weeks we will inform all ticketholders by email about the process on how to spent your credit and what will be done with your remaining credit.

Questions about special guests

We expect all Special Guests & Comic Artists will be present on 21 and 22 November. If you have a photobooth ticket you can keep it to meet your favourite celebrity in November! You don’t have to do anything for this, only to save your ticket.

Questions about additional tickets

Your photobooth and meet & greet ticket is are also convertible into a voucher, so that you can spend it later on a new ticket (entrance, photobooth, meet & greet etc.) More information about the voucher can be found under the heading ‘Tickets and Vouchers’ in this FAQ.

All scheduled gaming tournaments will take place on 21 and 22 November. Your ticket will remain valid.
Your gaming ticket is also convertible into a voucher, so that you can spend it later on a new ticket (entrance, photobooth, meet & greet etc.). More information about the voucher can be found under the heading ‘Tickets and Vouchers’ in this FAQ.

Other questions

First of all we would like to thank you for volunteering. We appreciate that very much and we hope that you will be available to help us on 21 and 22 November. All volunteers will be personally informed in September about their registration, so we can find out who is or isn’t able to volunteer.

All registered participants will have priority to participate in the Cosplay Contest and/or Catwalk on 21 and 22 November. Hype Creations will inform you about this at short notice. All other questions about the cosplay competition and Catwalk can be asked directly to Hype Creations. If spots become available, a new registration procedure will be started.
