Met een achtergrond in theater en kostuumontwerp begon Nicola in 2001 haar carri\u00e8re in de stripwereld en was ze in 2004 de eerste Australi\u00ebr die een vaste waarde werd in de Amerikaanse mainstream. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ze werd al snel een favoriet van de fans en werkte uitsluitend voor DC Comics aan iconische personages zoals Superman, Batman en Wonder Woman, evenals aan teamtitels zoals &#8220;Birds Of Prey,&#8221; &#8220;Secret Six,&#8221; &#8220;Teen Titans&#8221; en de New York Times Bestseller &#8220;Earth 2.&#8221;. In 2016 lanceerde ze haar veelgeprezen, door haar zelf gecre\u00eberde Image Comics maxi-serie &#8216;Black Magick&#8217; en DC&#8217;s &#8216;Wonder Woman: Year One&#8217; om het 75-jarig jubileum van het personage te vieren, beide in samenwerking met schrijver Greg Rucka. Ook in 2016 sloeg Nicola de handen ineen met DC Comics en de Verenigde Naties om de sleutelkunst te cre\u00ebren voor Wonder Woman&#8217;s Ere-Ambassadeurschap voor Vrouwen en Meisjes.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022 werkte ze samen met Kelly Sue DeConnick aan deel 3 van de met een Eisner Award bekroonde serie &#8220;Wonder Woman HISTORIA.&#8221; Momenteel werkt ze samen met Tom Taylor aan &#8220;TITANS.&#8221; Ze is verschenen in W Magazine, Vogue Australia, Frankie Magazine en de kunstsectie van The New York Times. Ze heeft geschreven voor The Guardian en was te gast als jurylid in zowel Australische als Amerikaanse realityshows. Ze heeft lezingen gegeven op Graphic Festival, ACAF, Araza Women Presents en hield een keynote-speech op de Adobe Max Creative Conference in 2018.
