On November 22 & 23, thousands of fans once again transformed Jaarbeurs Utrecht into the ultimate celebration of pop culture. From meeting legendary actors and showing off incredible cosplay to competing in gaming tournaments and discovering new fandoms—Winter Edition 2025 was one for the books. WHAT WAS WAITING BEHIND THE WINTER CARNIVAL GATES?
For the very first time, visitors stepped into our Winter Carnival. Apart from the rolle rink, you could crash into friends in the bumper cars, take a spin on the carousel, conquer the obstacle course or bounce your way across the inflatable playground. And of course: fuel up with churros, cotton candy, popcorn, grill snacks and more! By far the most fun kind of Christmas market, wouldn’t you agree?

DID SOMEONE SAY STAR WARS?
The Star Wars Zone brought fans face-to-face with heroes, villains and soldiers from a galaxy far, far away. Thanks to Dutch Garrison, Hall 4 became a must-visit destination for every Star Wars fan. We loved seeing all your character meet-ups and photos.
WHAT WAS HAPPENING ON THE MAIN STAGE?
The Main Stage delivered unforgettable moments all weekend long.
From celebrity Q&A’s and the EXP33 vs Baldur’s Gate 3 panel to the spectacular Cosplay Contest and Cosplay Catwalk, there was always something happening. Do you recognize one of your favorite moments?
WHAT MADE THE EXPERIENCE HALL SO UNFORGETTABLE?
One step inside Hall 10 and you entered another world.
From exploring terrifying horror scenes in House of Wax to wandering through Amazing Oriental’s Cherry Blossom Garden and try out their Hot Noodle Challenge. Many chose to dance their heart out at the K-pop Area or step inside Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria or Go-Tan’s food experiences.
WHERE DID HEROES GATHER TO GAME?
This edition, Heroes Gaming was bigger than ever. Gaming took over two entire halls packed with tournaments, tabletop adventures and non-stop action.
Many battled their way through esports tournaments in League of Legends, VALORANT, Counter-Strike 2 & Rainbow Six Siege X, challenged friends in Nintendo competitions, rolled dice in Dungeons & Dragons sessions, traded or bought cards at the TCG Area, or danced it off with the community in Just Dance. The Red Bull Tetris® finals took place on the Red Bull Gaming Stage, and the winner was sent to Dubai for the world finals. So cool!
