Each edition we invite a number of special guests. Admire them on the main stage and ask them a question, get a signature or take a picture together. THE HILLYWOOD SHOW

With 1.8 million subscribers on their YouTube channel, sisters Hilly and Hannah Hinti entertain their audience with funny parodies of the biggest movies and series. During the preview night, visitors can be the very first to ask their questions to the two during a Q&A on the main stage. The Hillywood Show will be present on Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday to sign autographs and take photos with fans.

PETER MILLIGAN

  • One-time Entertainment weekly’s “man of the year”.

  • He was the longest-running writer of the cult horror comic Hellblazer.

  • His take on Human Target inspired the TV series.

  • Other works include the critical hit Britannia, about an Ancient Roman detective, Sacrament, and Absolution.

  • Current comic projects include PROFANE, at Boom! Studios, drawn by Raül Fernandez.

RAÜL FERNANDEZ

  • Raül started working for American comics as an inker and after collaborating with Ramon F. Bachs, Manuel Garcia, Fernando Dagnino, Andres Guinaldo, Alvaro Martinez or Cian Tormey (among others) in books for Marvel (Spider-Man Breakout, Mystique) and DC Comics (Detective Comics, Justice league Dark, Outsiders) he began working as a full artist with a story starring the Phantom Stranger for DC Comics’ “DC’s Terrors Through Time” written by the legendary Paul Levitz.

  • Raül is currently working for BOOM! Studios drawing a Noir detective series written by the master Peter Milligan.

KHARY RANDOLPH

  • Boston born and Vienna based, Khary Randolph has worked with some of the biggest media companies in the world, such as Marvel Comics, DC Comics, 20th Century Fox, Netflix, ESPN, Upper Deck, Nickelodeon, Epic Games & Samsung.

  • His stylish and energetic artwork has been seen in comic books, video games, toys, animation, and on the walls of the Smithsonian.

  • He is the co-creator of Mosaic from Marvel Comics, Excellence from Skybound/Image Comics, and Sirens of the City from Boom Studios.

JOANNE STARER

  • Joanne Starer writes comic books, comic strips, and sometimes even giant comic walls for the Smithsonian Museum.

  • She spreads her unique brand of comedy with a conscience across a wide spectrum of themes, including pro-wrestling, the Holocaust, abortion, and modern romance.

  • Starer is best known for her work on Fire & Ice: Welcome to Smallville with DC Comics, Sirens of the City with Boom Studios, Total Suplex of the Heart with Life Drawn, and The Gimmick with Ahoy Comics.

CIAN TORMEY

  • Cian Tormey is currently drawing a new series telling the secret history of Alan Scott, the original Green Lantern, having recently completed his award nominated run on Son of Superman: Kal El with Tom Taylor.

  • After a decade-long award winning career as an Art Director in advertising, Cian transitioned to drawing comics where he worked on titles like Valkyrie and Darkhold for Marvel, and on titles like Nightwing, Batman and the Outsiders, Catwoman and Batgirl for DC Comics.

  • After taking over Son of Superman, DC Comics signed him up as an Exclusive artist in 2022. He’s currently drawing Alan Scott: The Green Lantern for them.

YANCEY LABAT

  • Yancey Labat has been in the book publishing industry for over 30 years and has illustrated many children’s books, comic books and graphic novels.

  • Although he has worked on many titles for DC Comics he is best known for his work on The New York Times best-selling series, DC Super Hero Girls.

STEVE PUGH

  • He worked on books such as Hellblazer and Animal man, and then at Marvel, pencilling Doom 2099.

  • After an adventure in creator owned books, where Steve wrote and painted for two premium titles, Shark-man and Hotwire, he returned to the mainstream with his second successful run on Animal-man for DC Comics new 52 revival of the character.

  • Once known for brutal, even ugly, horror based works such as Saint of Killers, Steve took a sudden turn towards humour with the highly lauded reinterpretation of The Flintstones, and a return to full colour art in Harley Quinn : Breaking Glass, both nominated for multiple Eisner awards.

  • A return to creator owned books also saw him reunite with his Flintstones writer to create the Billionaires Island series of stories, and last year Steve’s Peacemaker limited series caught a huge wave of good will from readers and became an unexpected breakout book for DC’s Black Label imprint.

MARIE JAVINS

  • Marie Javins has long specialized in finding the intersection between cultural storytelling and comic book creation, sparked by personal encounters as she travels the world.

  • She has edited countless comics, books, and graphic novels including Superman Smashes the Klan (Gene Luen Yang, Gurihiru), Exit Stage Left: The Snagglepuss Chronicles (GLAAD Media Award 2019, Mark Russell, Mike Feehan et al), Harley Quinn Breaking Glass (Mariko Tamaki, Steve Pugh), and for nearly a decade was the editor in chief of a Kuwaiti comic book company specializing in superheroes based in the Muslim world.

  • A graduate of Antioch College, Marie has taught at New York’s School of Visual Arts, written nine books, and traveled twice around the world via public transport.

  • She is dedicated to facilitating the power of story to create a just and more compassionate world.

  • Marie has been DC’s Editor in Chief since 2020.

ALEX SINCLAIR

  • Alex Sinclair has worked in the comic book industry as a colorist. During his 31 year career, he has colored books for Marvel, DC Comics, Image, and a few independents.

  • He has worked on various series including Batman, Star Wars, Superman, Venom, Wolverine, Darth Vader, Justice League, and Wonder Woman.

  • His collaborations with Jim Lee and Scott Williams on Batman Hush, as well as Jimmy Palmiotti, Amanda Conner and Chad Hardin on Harley Quinn earned him global recognition and multiple awards.

  • His current projects include Wolverine, Star Wars: Dark Droids, Batman and Avengers Inc.

ANDREW WILDMAN

  • For a decade Andrew worked for Marvel Comics illustrating books such as Spider-Man, The X-Men, Venom, PGI Joe and, the book that he is still best known for; Transformers.

  • His career as an artist then took him into the world of Video Games where he designed concepts, environments and characters for several games including Aliens Vs Predator.

  • He currently works as a storyboard artist for Film and TV on live-action shows such as Luther, The Winter King, Strike, Doctor Who, Invasion, The Alienist and The Innocents. Work on animated shows includes Ruff-Ruff, Tweet & Dave, Horrid Henry and The Clangers.

  • He was also the co-creator and art director of Channel5’s breakthrough animated TV show; Shane the Chef.

  • In 2014 Andrew wrote and illustrated the celebrated graphic novel; HORIZON. A narrative that utilises his experience as a comic book artist and his training in ‘personal development’ and ‘life coaching’. Described by BBC Arts Editor Will Gompertz as “An intriguing book that tells a great story in four wonderful dimensions: words, pictures, speech and space.” and by renowned Philosopher and Author, Alain de Botton as; “Very beautiful indeed”.

  • Andrew’s second graphic novel, OXYGEN was released this year.
