Mantis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

To Marvel fans, Pom Klementieff is better known as Mantis. Since her debut in 2017’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, she has become one of the most unique and beloved members of the Guardians. Klementieff brought Mantis’s extraordinary empathic powers and naive view of the world to life, creating a funny, vulnerable, and surprisingly powerful character.

Pom Klementieff has returned as Mantis several times in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She appeared in Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Thor: Love and Thunder, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Mantis has now become an essential character.

French Films to International Blockbusters

Although Pom Klementieff is well known by many fans as Mantis, she has played many more roles throughout her career. After her early roles in French films, including Après Lui, Loup, and Nuit blanche, Klementieff made her American film debut in Oldboy. She later appeared in the dark comedy Ingrid Goes West.

We see a completely different side of Pom Klementieff in the Mission: Impossible films. In Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, she played the dangerous and mysterious Paris. In the sequel, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Klementieff reprises her role as Paris and her character is further developed.

Although the filmmakers are keeping her role under wraps, Pom Klementieff has already been confirmed for a new action thriller. She is part of the cast of The Beekeeper 2, which is expected to hit theaters in early 2027.
