Supernatural actor Misha Collins is a guest at Heroes Dutch Comic Con
Collins will be present on Saturday, June 22nd, and Sunday, June 23rd, during the pop culture event at Jaarbeurs Utrecht.
Heroes Dutch Comic Con announces a new special guest today. Misha Collins, best known for his role as Castiel in the television series Supernatural, is coming to the summer edition of the event! Fans can take photos with the actor, obtain an autograph, meet him during exclusive meet & greets, and ask questions during the Q&A sessions on the main stage. Misha Collins joins David Tennant (Doctor Who) and Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother), who were previously announced as special guests for the upcoming edition.
Misha Collins is an American actor, producer, and activist. For twelve years, he portrayed the role of the angel Castiel in Supernatural (2005–2020). Collins was introduced in the fourth season of the multi-Emmy-nominated series, which tells the story of two brothers hunting everything supernatural. The actor appeared in nearly 150 episodes as Castiel.
In addition to the popular Supernatural, the actor has appeared in a variety of films and television series, including Girl, Interrupted (1999), the eleventh season of ER (1999–2004), and the first season of 24 (2001–2014). Recently, he took on the role of supervillain Harvey Dent in Gotham Knights (2023). Collins has also found success as a producer, co-producing the award-winning documentary Loot (2008) and creating, writing, and directing the series TSA: America (2014).
Charity and activist work
Collins is a passionate activist and philanthropist, particularly aiming to mobilize young adults to engage in social and community issues. He developed the global scavenger hunt GISH, where participants in over 100 countries raised money to save endangered rainforests and provide aid to Syrian refugees.
Additionally, he is the founder of the non-profit organization Random Acts, which calls on people worldwide to collaborate on social and community projects. The organization has already built a school in Nicaragua and established an orphanage in Haiti. Additionally, Collins advocates for various activist causes, such as the war in Ukraine.
