The upcoming winter edition of Heroes Dutch Comic Con promises to be a truly special event with the addition of the brand-new platform: Heroes Gaming. Heroes Gaming is the upgraded, expanded version of the beloved gaming area and serves as the ultimate meeting place for gamers, creators, and esports fans. Two entire halls will be transformed into a home for gamers — whether you’re competing yourself or cheering on your favorite players from the audience.
As the only place in the Netherlands where multiple forms of gaming come together under one roof, Heroes Gaming offers a unique combination of professional tournaments, casual gaming, and community activities. It’s all about competition, experience, and community. Every gamer is welcome to spend the day having fun. Visitors can watch top esports players in action, spot their favorite gaming influencers, and even meet the voice actors behind beloved characters from popular games like Call of Duty and Uncharted.
Battle Mode
On the Gaming Stage, players go head-to-head in tournaments featuring four of the most iconic and popular titles: Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends, Rainbow Six Siege X, and VALORANT. Both experienced esports athletes and new teams have the chance to compete for the championship. Heroes Gaming aims to provide a springboard for emerging talent in the Benelux region and to give everyone the experience of striving for victory in front of a cheering crowd.
Speedy Puzzle Action
On Saturday, 22 November, Heroes Gaming will host the thrilling finale of the Dutch Red Bull Tetris® Championship. The retro classic has received a fresh, modern update. The competition isn’t about endurance; it’s about speed. In short, intense three-minute rounds, two players compete for the national title and a ticket to the world finals in Dubai.
Try Before You Play
Beyond competitions, there are plenty of opportunities to discover games and play with friends. Visitors can explore a wide variety of games, from high-stakes shooters to fun party games. Here, you can try the latest titles, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Mario Kart World. Everything is free to play on the spot — no downloads, no extra costs. All you need to do is pick a spot at a game station and dive in.
Industry Leaders
Several leading brands will also be present with interactive stands. Visit Nintendo to play seven Nintendo Switch 2 games, including new releases like Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Kirby Air Riders. Dance enthusiasts can head to Ubisoft to groove along to the hits of Just Dance 2026 or join other fun activities. In collaboration with Bethesda, the Xbox Streaming Studio allows visitors to stream live from Heroes Gaming directly to their followers. Want to take your gaming setup to the next level? Take Notes
Don’t forget to bring pen and paper, as there are plenty of inspiring masterclasses to attend. Game veteran José Gómez de Lara, known for Horizon Zero Dawn, Mass Effect, and Halo 2, will give a lecture on Sunday, 23 November, about creating games in the age of AI. Additionally, instructors and students from the SAE Institute will host an Artcade Room, where visitors can draw, sculpt, and design in VR using professional tools. You can also take part in creative challenges, such as “Redesign a Hero” and “Mash-up Madness”.

Heroes Gaming takes place in Halls 11 and 12 during Heroes Dutch Comic Con on 22 and 23 November at Jaarbeurs Utrecht.
