In the press conference of April 21, 2020, the Cabinet announced that the current measures for events will be extended until the 1st of September, as a result of the measures against the spread of the coronavirus. This means that we have no choice but to move the anniversary edition of Heroes Dutch Comic Con, which was scheduled on the 4th and 5th of July.
We understand your disappointment and we feel the same way about it, but we are really looking forward to celebrate our 10th edition together with you, therefore the anniversary edition will be moved to November 21 and 22, 2020. Let’s make it the most amazing edition ever together!
What happens to my tickets?
Your entrance tickets for July will automatically be converted to the new date in November, you don’t have to do anything for this. Have you already looked at your calendar for the third time and found out that you really can’t attend on the new date in November? Then you can choose for a voucher or a donation.
In order for Heroes Dutch Comic Con to continue to exist, the initiative Save Your Ticket calls for a refund in the form of a voucher. This initiative, which is supported by the government, has been set up to prevent organizations from collapsing if everyone reclaims their money. This gives Heroes Dutch Comic Con the opportunity to organize new events in the future. It is also possible to receive a voucher with the purchase amount that can be used at a later time. The voucher has the value of the original ticket price, including service costs. This voucher can be redeemed later to enjoy Heroes Dutch Comic Con, for example for a new entrance ticket or a photobooth or for your favourite Special Guest. The voucher has a validity of at least 12 months. Ticket holders can also choose to convert their entire ticket or part of their ticket into a donation to support the event.
All ticket holders are expected to receive an email at the beginning of May with more information about obtaining the voucher and other options. Our ticket partner Paylogic is currently busy developing the voucher functionality. They working hard to get this done as quickly and as well as possible. When the system is ready to use, all ticket holders will be informed directly by email. We expect visitors to receive an email to receive and use their voucher in June.

At this moment it is not clear if all the special guests who were attending will be available on the new dates. As soon as we have more information we will share this directly with you on our social media channels and our website.
