Calling all single visitors of the winter edition! The speed dates are back and better than ever before. In a collaboration with dating app Fruitz, the always popular speed dates are getting more fun. Be-cause the dating app, like Heroes Dutch Comic Con, values inclusivity and safe dating, we are con-vinced to have found a perfect partner in Fruitz.
Every edition of Heroes Dutch Comic Con, around 45.000 people travel to the Jaarbeurs Utrecht with one thing in common: their love for pop culture. To bring single visitors closer together, Heroes Dutch Comic Con has successfully organised speed dates for many years. There will be four speed dating sessions on both Saturday and Sunday, with 40 participants per session. People of different sexual orientations can sign up; there are both heterosexual and LGBTQ dating rounds. Participants will have 3-5 minutes per speed date to get to know each other.
To get the conversation going, participants can choose from icebreakers, which vary in intensity. The questions are a small selection of the icebreakers Fruitz users need to choose from to start a conversation with a match (appropriately called smoothie in the app). For instance, there are innocent questions like “Do you prefer to live as Batman or Superman?”, as well as cheeky questions such as, “Do you prefer to send or receive enticing photos?”.
Applicants for speed dating can sign up for a free shot at love. In their registration form, speed daters have to enter their Fruitz user ID. Finding your Fruitz user ID is easy peasy lemon squeezy: just head to the settings and tap on the small text below the Fruits logo at the bottom of the menu. Did a peach appear? That means that your user ID was copied successfully and is now ready to be added to the registration form. After the event, every participant will be surprised with a free feature on their Fruitz account, that other users normally have to purchase in the app.
Besides sponsoring the speed dates, Fruitz is also organising a photo activation in Hall 10, where the speed dates also take place, for all of the event visitors. Everyone can visit the Fruitz photobooth for a lasting memento of the event or shoot a profile photo for their new Fruitz profile and sign up for the dating app on the spot.
