Yancey Labat, known from DC Super Hero Girls, will attend HDCC

Yancey Labat has been in the book publishing industry for over 30 years and has illustrated many children’s books, comic books and graphic novels. Although he has worked on many titles for DC Comics he is best known for his work on The New York Times best-selling series, DC Super Hero Girls.

Cian Tormey is coming to HDCC!

He is currently drawing a new series telling the secret history of Alan Scott, the original Green Lantern, having recently completed his award nominated run on Son of Superman: Kal El with Tom Taylor.

Khary Randolph is attending HDCC Summer 2024!

Boston born and Vienna based, Khary Randolph has worked with some of the biggest media companies in the world, such as Marvel Comics, DC Comics, 20th Century Fox, Netflix, ESPN, Upper Deck, Nickelodeon, Epic Games & Samsung.

Meet DC Comics editor Andrea Shea

Andrea Shea is a DC Comics editor whose slate includes Wonder Woman Historia: The Amazons, DC Pride, Fire & Ice: Welcome to Smallville, Batman: Gargoyle of Gotham, and many, many other titles that she loves dearly. She has two cats and a deeply held belief that soup is its own food group.

Artist Jimmy Palmiotti is joing Amanda Conner!

Jimmy Palmiotti is a multi-award winning intellectual property creator and world building architect with a wide range of experience and background in advertising, production, editorial, screen writing, film production, media presentation, and video game development. Just a few of his clients include Nike, Disney, Marvel Studios, Warner Brothers, Lion’s Gate, Fox, Paramount, Dream Works, Lotus entertainment, New Line, 2KGames and THQ Nordic.

Artist announcement: Amanda Conner!

Award winning artist Amanda Conner started in comics began working on the Marvel Comics Barbie line and Disney’s Gargoyles comics, which quickly led to her working with the top writers in the field, such as Grant Morrison, Mark Millar, Warren Ellis and Garth Ennis on titles such as X-Men, Vampirella, Two-Step, and her creator-owned Eisner nominated one shot, The Pro.

Elsa Charretier is a comic book artist and writer. Early in her career, she’s illustrated numerous books for DC Comics, Marvel Comics, IDW Publishing, Random House, Disney and Lucasfilm and has now shifted her focus to her independent work, most notably NOVEMBER with Matt Fraction and LOVE EVERLASTING with Tom King (both published by Image Comics).

She quickly became a fan-favourite working exclusively for DC Comics on iconic characters such as Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman and team titles “Birds Of Prey”, “Secret Six”, “Teen Titans” and New York Times Bestseller “Earth 2”. 2016 saw the launch of her critically acclaimed creator-owned Image Comics maxi-series ‘Black Magick’ and DC’s ‘Wonder Woman: Year One’ to celebrate the characters 75th anniversary, both in collaboration with writer Greg Rucka.

Phil Jimenez will be visiting HDCC

Phil Jimenez is an Eisner, Inkpot, Diamond, and Wizard award-winning writer and artist who has worked for DC Comics, Marvel Comics, and a host of other comic book companies for nearly 30 years. A former student and later instructor at NYC’s School of Visual Arts, Jimenez is best known for his work on Tempest, The Invisibles, JLA/Titans, New-X-Men, Wonder Woman, Infinite Crisis, Amazing Spider-Man, Otherworld, and WonderWoman: Historia with author Kelly Sue DeConnick.

Kelly Sue DeConnick is coming to HDCC!

Kelly Sue DeConnick’s work spans stage, comics, film and television. Ms. DeConnick first came to prominence as a comics writer, where she is best known for reinventing the Carol Danvers as “Captain Marvel” at Marvel and for the Black Label standard-setting Wonder Woman Historia: The Amazons at DC. Her independent comics Bitch Planet and Pretty Deadly (both from Image Comics) have ranked as New York Times best-sellers and been honored with Eisner Awards, British Fantasy Awards and Hugo nominations.

Our editor this year is the one and only C.B. Cebulski, Editor-in-Chief, Marvel Comics. Showing your portfolio to the editor is a chance of a lifetime. The editor is the one who can give you valuable professional feedback on your work. He will be present at Heroes Dutch Comic Con to review all portfolios throughout the day. Use his experience to your advantage to grow even more!

Editor in Chief of Marvel Comics, C.B. Cebulski, is coming to Heroes Dutch Comic Con along with all the Marvel Stormbreakers!

As Editor-in-Chief, C.B. Cebulski oversees all day-to-day editorial and creative aspects of Marvel’s publishing division since he was appointed in November 2017. This includes driving the overall editorial creative vision, shaping the larger story direction of the Marvel Comics line-up, and bringing to Marvel the world’s best and brightest writers and artists. Additionally, Mr. Cebulski is furthering Marvel’s efforts to expand the publishing division internationally, helping forge partnerships and create original projects with Panini, Scholastic, Shueisha, Abrams, Sigongsa and Naver/Webtoons.

Rod Reis is the last Comic Artist for Heroes Dutch Comic Con!

Rod Reis started his comic-book career in the early 90’s as color artist for DC COMICS. This is where he worked on books as Superman, Aquaman and Justice League for almost 15 years. Then he published two creator-owned books at Image Comics as an interior artist and because of them Marvel hired him to illustrate Captain America, Doctor Strange, Winter Soldier. Currently, he’s the ongoing artist on New Mutants. Watch his work here!

Pere Perez takes a seat in the Comics Area!

Comic Artist announcement: Pere Pérez! His first published work for DC Comics was in 2009 with the title Adventure Comics Feat, The Guardian. For Marvel, he worked on the one-shot New Avengers (AAFES): An Army of One, Marvel Adv. Fantastic Four #46, and many more. At Valiant, Pere worked on Comics as Archer & Armstrong and the Faith ongoing, which were nominated for a Harvey and an Eisner Award! Read more about his story.

Elena Casagrande is coming to HDCC!

Elena Casagrande is coming to HDCC! She works with Marvel and DC Comics but also launched the new series of Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor for Titan Comics. She’s the artist of the new series of Black Widow for Marvel with Kelly Thompson as writer, Jordie Bellaire as colorist and Adam Hughes as regular cover artist; she and her team-mates won with this series the Eisner Award 2021 as Best New Series.

Kurt Busiek present at Heroes Dutch Comic Con

Eisner and Harvey Award-winner Kurt Busiek will be joining the Comic Artists line up on the 23rd and 24th of November. He works together with Carlos Pacheco a lot, who also will be joining Heroes Dutch Comic Con this year! The two worked on Avengers Forever, Superman and Arrowsmith.
