This became clear from research by Veronica Superguide in collaboration with Heroes Dutch Comic Con.

In the weekend of the 23rd and 24th of November, Heroes Dutch Comic Con took place in the Jaarbeurs Utrecht. With more than 40.000 visitors over the entire weekend, it was the perfect opportunity to investigate the television and film habits of the Dutchman. Veronica Superguide’s survey of 447 visitors showed, amongst other things, that almost 40% never watch linear television.

Bingewatch record of half a day
The research shows that the Dutchman has mastered bingewatching very well. Of 447 respondents, a bingewatch record is measured with an average of 11.5 hours. Nearly 10% admitted that they had watched films and/or series for more than 24 hours in a row. When they watch television or films, 41% prefer to do so in bed rather than on the couch. In addition, four out of five respondents indicated that films and series help them through difficult times.

Most popular releases of the past year
Veronica Superguide has researched what the favorite series are today and what were the best releases of the past year. The most anticipated releases are the film ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ and the series ‘The Witcher’.

Target group
The age group of the event is very diverse, with ages ranging from 3 to 65 years old. The average visitor is between 18 and 34 years old and has an almost equal distribution between men (51%) and women (49%). Their interests lie in pop culture, such as films and series, gaming and comics. More than 40,000 visitors attended the winter edition on 23 and 24 November.
