Meet these comic artists of eppo
As one of the biggest Dutch comics publisher, Eppo is the partner for show content, local talents and exclusive supplier of the program booklet. They’ll also bring some awesome comic artists to Heroes Dutch Comic Con and you can meet them at the booth of Eppo.
Romano Molenaar (1971) is the successful artist on Storm and the spin-off Ember. At Heroes Dutch Comic Con he will sign the collectors edition of the latest Storm book ’The asylum of Krijs’ at the Eppo booth.
Kenny Rubenis (1984) is the artist on the popular series Dating for Geeks, which is published since 2014 in the newspaper Metro and Eppo magazine. Kenny signs both days the new book “Girls & Goblins” at the Eppo booth.
Eric Heuvel (1960) is a worldwide appreciated artist with his series like January Jones and Carbeau. He also presented last year a trilogy about the second World War in cooperation with the Anne Frank Foundation and the Indonesian Memorial Center. Eric will sign his books at the Eppo booth.
Emilio Guzman (1982) is a stand-up comedian. He won several awards and writes for "Spijkers met Koppen", "Klikbeet" and "Even tot Hier". Together with Thijs van Domburg he wrote the series "In den Gulden Draeck" and the book "Nerds!". Emilio will sign Saturday and Sunday the book Nerds! at the Eppo booth.
Thijs Domburg (1981) was a standup comedian for many years, but now he’s a full-time writer. He wrote for "Dit was het nieuws", "Spijkers met Koppen" and together with Emilio Guzman the series "In den Gulden Draeck" and the hilarious book "Nerds!". Thijs will sign on Sunday the book Nerds! at the Eppo booth.
Martin Lodewijk (1939) is the most famous comicartist from The Netherlands who has been published all over the world. He is the creator of Roel Dijkstra, Agent 327 and Storm, which are published by Uitgeverij L. Martin Lodewijk will be signing at the Eppo booth on Saturday and Sunday.
Gerben Valkema (1980) is a very popular comic artist who is well known the hit series Elsje, which is published in over 15 daily newspapers. Gerben sign the new book ‘Yolo’ at the Eppo booth.
Eric Hercules (1964) is the writer of the popular daily Elsje, which is published in over 15 daily newspapers. Together with Gerben Valkema Eric will sign the new book ‘Yolo’ at the Eppo booth.
Aimée de Jongh
Aimée de Jongh (1988) is a Dutch animator, illustrator of childrenbooks and off all a comicartist. Her series Snippers was published in newspaper Metro and het graphic novel De terugkeer van de wespendief is translated in several countries en adapted for television. Uitgeverij L published the series Snippers and Reborn.
Gerard Leever (1960) is famous for his graphic diary Gleevers Dagboek which is published in the comicmagazine Eppo. Other series are Het Felix Flux Museum, Oktoknopie and Kanaal 13. In 2006 Gerard Leever received the Stripschapprijs for his complete work. Since 20 years Gerard is making the hitseries Suus & Sas for the magazine Tina. The new book (volume 17) will be presented at Heroes Dutch Comic Con.
