Heroes Dutch Comic Con announces its second Special Guest for the Winter Edition on Nov. 18 and 19, 2023. Famke Janssen will return to the Netherlands for a visit to Jaarbeurs Utrecht. During the two-day event, fans can take pictures with her, get an autograph and ask questions. Earlier Elijah Wood was announced as a Special Guest for the pop culture event.

Famke Janssen (1964) left for the United States in the 1980s to work as a model for luxury fashion houses such as Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel, among others. Her interest in acting led to small roles, but in 1995 she got her big breakthrough. Janssen became world famous overnight as bond girl Xenia Onatopp in the James Bond film GoldenEye (1995). The role marked the start of a remarkable acting career.

The actress is also known for her role as Dr. Jean Grey (aka Phoenix) in the original X-Men trilogy, based on the Marvel Comics comic books of the same name. As the red-headed mutant with telepathic and telekinetic powers, Janssen played a prominent role in the superhero franchise. Some time after the release of this original trilogy, she returned twice briefly as Jean Grey in The Wolverine (2013) and X-men: Days of Future Past (2014).

Janssen also has many successes in recurring characters for various television series and films. For example, the Dutchwoman starred in the hit series Nip/Tuck (2003-2010), Hemlock Grove (2013-2015) and How to Get Away with Murder (2015-2020), among others. She also played the role of Lenore in the Taken trilogy with Liam Neeson (2008, 2012 and 2014).

Famke Janssen will be at the event both days. Visitors can take photos with her, get an autograph and ask her questions during the Q&A on the Main Stage. Entrance tickets to the event are available from today in the Heroes Dutch Comic Con online ticket shop.
