He has a growing reputation as an audiobook narrator, winning an Earphones Award for the sequel to The Girl With All the Gifts, The Book of Koli. We did it! Doctor Who’ star David Tennant is coming to HDCC Summer 2025!

Scottish actor David Tennant is coming to Heroes Dutch Comic Con. Tennant, best known for his role as the tenth Doctor in “Doctor Who”, is the next guest to be announced for the three-day event. On June 20, 21 and 22, 2025, the pop culture event will open its doors at Jaarbeurs Utrecht. David Tennant will be present on Saturday and Sunday.

Guest announcement: Supernatural star Jared Padalecki

You may know her as Lynn from Girlfriends or as the mysterious Abby Bennett from The Vampire Diaries. Persia White is a multi-talented artist, captivating audiences on screen and through her music. In addition to her acting, she’s also a passionate musician, film producer, and environmental activist.

Voice actor Matthew Sussman is joining Ted Lewis during HDCC!

Matthew Sussman has worked on movies and tv shows including The Sopranos, Sex and the City and Law and Order. As a voice actor he worked on many anime dubs, primarily for 4Kids Entertainment. He was the original voice of Meowth in “Pokémon” as well as creating the voice of Slowking in “Pokémon the Movie.” He also voiced Gravos and King Moros in Slayers Next.

Voice actor Ted Lewis is coming to HDCC!

He was also one of the original voice actors hired by 4kids to work on Pokemon back in 1999, there he voiced iconic characters such as James, Giovanni, Gengar, Snorlax, Haunter, Tracey Sketchit and many more.

‘Iron Fist’ & ‘Game of Thrones’ Finn Jones visits HDCC!

Finn Jones is a British actor who had his big break with his role as the knight Loras Tyrell in the hit series ‘Game of Thrones’. Jones featured from the first to the sixth season of the fantasy series. Shortly after his departure from ‘Game of Thrones’, Jones was cast as Marvel superhero Iron Fist (Danny Rand) in the series of the same name. The actor took on the role of Danny Rand several times, including in the Netflix miniseries ‘The Defenders’.

Harry Potter actor Stanislav Yanevski to appear as a guest during Heroes Dutch Comic Con

Stanislav Yanevski is a Bulgarian actor and producer. Yanevski is best known for his role as Viktor Krum in ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’, the fourth instalment in the Harry Potter film series. The film follows Harry Potter during his fourth year at Hogwarts and his participation in the Triwizard Tournament. During the tournament, he encounters Viktor Krum, played by Yanevski, as his opponent. The film marked his debut as an actor.

Special Guest announcement: Jeff Ward!

Jeff Ward is an American born actor, writer and director best known for his roles in Hacks (2021), Brand New Cherry Flavor (2021), Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2017-2020), and most recently as the unforgettable Buggy in the Netflix live action adaptation of One Piece.

Harry Potter twins James and Oliver Phelps attend Heroes Dutch Comic Con exclusive Preview Night

James and Oliver Phelps, known for their roles as Fred and George Weasley in the Harry Potter film series, are coming to Heroes Dutch Comic Con! The twins will attend as special guests during the event’s exclusive preview night, which takes place on Friday night (21 June). A unique experience will be organised especially for a select group of Heroes Dutch Comic Con fans on this extra night. Visitors can have their picture taken with James and Oliver Phelps, have their merchandise signed or ask them questions during the panel on the Main Stage.

Actress Lana Parrilla returns to HDCC Winter 2023!

Of Italian and Puerto Rican descent, Lana Parrilla spent her childhood in Brooklyn, New York.  At a young age, she made numerous home videos with her family and especially with her aunt, who is a working actress.  Lana’s family supported her natural inclination to perform, however with her determination no one was going to stand in the way of her passion.  Parrilla graduated from high school and shortly thereafter moved to Los Angeles to study her craft and began to appear in local theatre productions.

Actress Famke Janssen returns to the Netherlands for Heroes Dutch Comic Con

Famke Janssen (1964) left for the United States in the 1980s to work as a model for luxury fashion houses such as Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel, among others. Her interest in acting led to small roles, but in 1995 she got her big breakthrough. Janssen became world famous overnight as bond girl Xenia Onatopp in the James Bond film GoldenEye (1995). The role marked the start of a remarkable acting career.

Superstar Elijah Wood announced as Special Guest during Heroes Dutch Comic Con

The American-born Elijah Wood (1981) has been in the acting business for a long time and has earned his stripes as a child actor with several noteworthy roles, including a small part in ‘Back to the Future Part II’ (1989). His career took off after the incredible success of the Oscar-winning ‘The Lord of the Rings’ trilogy. Following his role as the hobbit Frodo Baggins, Wood enjoyed successes in ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’ (2004), ‘Sin City’ (2005) and television series ‘Wilfred’ (2011—2014), among others. The actor has also lent his voice to several projects, including the Oscar-winning animated film ‘Happy Feet’ (2006), where the actor can be heard as the tapdancing penguin Mumble.

Editor in Chief of Marvel Comics, C.B. Cebulski, is coming to Heroes Dutch Comic Con along with all the Marvel Stormbreakers!

As Editor-in-Chief, C.B. Cebulski oversees all day-to-day editorial and creative aspects of Marvel’s publishing division since he was appointed in November 2017. This includes driving the overall editorial creative vision, shaping the larger story direction of the Marvel Comics line-up, and bringing to Marvel the world’s best and brightest writers and artists. Additionally, Mr. Cebulski is furthering Marvel’s efforts to expand the publishing division internationally, helping forge partnerships and create original projects with Panini, Scholastic, Shueisha, Abrams, Sigongsa and Naver/Webtoons.

Orli Shoshan, also known as Shaak Ti in Star Wars Episode II and Episode III, is our fourth Special Guest!

Orli played the exotic Elian, Jedi Master, Shaak Ti in “Star Wars Episode II and Episdoe III”. Shaak Ti is a popular character you can find celebrated through many action figures, LEGO sets, comic books and video games. While in Australia she would work in other major television shows such as “The Wheel of Fortune-Australia” presenting prizes, and an exercise & fitness program “Aerobic OZ style “.

Star Wars guest Amy Allen (Jedi Master Aayla Secura) joins our event!

Amy Allen is an American actress who played the Jedi Master Aayla Secura in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. Amy had previously been cast as an additional Twi’lek in the DVD release of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.

Australian actress Eliza Taylor is attending our new Summer Edition in June. She is perhaps best known for anchoring the drama The 100 as ‘Clarke Griffin’ on The CW for 7 seasons. Meet her during the upcoming edition of HDCC!

Sarah Rafferty is coming to HDCC! She is known for her role as Donna Paulsen in the popular American show Suits, dr. Pamela Blake in Chicago Med, and Suzanne Britland in Grey’s Anatomy.

The Dutch Fredette returns in March to Heroes Dutch Comic Con! The Dutch Fredette has been cosplaying for a while and will have a stand in the Fan Village. She is an admired guest at German horror events and has had a stand at Heroes Dutch Comic Con once before. This time she will bring Jason!

Star Trek fanclub The Flying Dutch at Heroes Dutch Comic Con!

The Flying Dutch is an association that is actively involved with the legendary science fiction series Star Trek. The fan club TFD was founded in 1984 and since then it has been the informative contact for everything that has to do with Star Trek. 

What began with meetings in attic rooms in the 80’s, The TFD grew into a large national association  in the 90s. With an active volunteer group, the TFD has been working for the promotion of Star Trek for years.

New COVID-19 Update 12.11.2021

Today, Friday November 12th, the Dutch government has decided to introduce new COVID-19 restrictions for events. These new restrictions will also apply to Heroes Dutch Comic Con next week on the 20th and 21st of November 2021.

Something that cannot be missed at Heroes Dutch Comic Con are, of course, the cosplay judges who will judge the Cosplay Contest! And today we can already announce one of them.

Special guest announcement: Dominique McElligott!

Dominique McElligott is an Irish actress, most recently seen as Queen Maeve on the hugely popular Amazon series THE BOYS.  In 2016, McElligott played Hannah Conway, wife of the Republican presidential nominee, in the fourth and fifth season of the Netflix show House of Cards.

Bonnie Wright (1991) is an English actress who became world famous thanks her role as Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter Movies. Ginny Weasley appeared in all Harry Potter movies and her character has grown bigger and bigger in each new movie. Initially Bonnie was only casted for a small scene in the first movie, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s stone. But eventually Ginny Weasley became a regular character in the movies.

Kurt Busiek present at Heroes Dutch Comic Con

Eisner and Harvey Award-winner Kurt Busiek will be joining the Comic Artists line up on the 23rd and 24th of November. He works together with Carlos Pacheco a lot, who also will be joining Heroes Dutch Comic Con this year! The two worked on Avengers Forever, Superman and Arrowsmith.

Arthur Adams is an award-winning artist who became an immediate fan favorite as the penciler on the critically acclaimed 1985 Longshot mini-series. His decades-spanning career has included cover and interior work on a very long list of impressive titles.
